| Have you read any good books lately? Maybe you should get yourself a copy of "Greenwich Village: The Happy Folk Singing Days". We'd better warn you though, nearly half of this book is text... the kind of read that is hard to put down, so take the time to enjoy it. It describes the dawning of the folk music days in Greenwich Village in the 1950s and 1960s. People were gathering and singing, playing their guitars and banjos, and dulcimers, too. The tales are fascinating, and the pictures make it seem so very real, you will almost feel like you were there. Moving on to the songs... there are lots of those, too. Most of them are included twice, offering the same songs in more that one tuning, making them accessible to more players. They are a part of dulcimer history, and are songs that you are sure to enjoy. The tunings available are listed with each song. Musical notation and guitar chords as well as lyrics are included along with the dulcimer arrangements. This book deserves a place in every dulcimer music collection.
